I love Christmas cards, birthday cards, Valentines’ cards, you name it, I love receiving a card! Christmas cards are a tradition I look forward to, hanging them on the refrigerator or inside the front door. They must come down though. I have several shoe boxes full of old cards, and it’s finally gotten to the point I just can’t keep anymore. Yet, I can’t stand the idea of throwing out a beautiful, thoughtful card. Let’s recycle them and re-purpose those holiday cards!
- Holiday cards
- Optional- ribbon
- Optional- hole puncher
If you’re anything like me, chances are you’ll forget to purchase, or dismiss, gift name tags. Last year’s cut up Christmas cards are the perfect alternative! With a little patience, you can cut out some of the designs for unique, pretty gift identifiers. Using a small hole puncher, add ribbon to attach the tag to a gift, or just tape it on under a bow.
It’s so simple, but I loved being able to give the cards a second life!
